Dr. Lisa Feldman teaches us how the brain works. The interesting point here is that the brain is not a thinking tool, it’s main function is to cope by preparing the body. Thinking or feeling is a secondary thing to serve this process.
The body resource is like a budget and the brain executes it. Uncertainty and perceived threat require more body resources. If this state continues, we may become ill. Maintaining social connections and getting enough rest are key to replenishing the body’s resources.
